OUTSpoken is a third-year program from the Sundress Academy for the Arts (SAFTA) with the goal of creating a platform for the LGBTQ community of Knoxville, Tennessee, and its surrounding areas to record and perform the experiences of sex- and gender-diverse individuals in the South.
SAFTA, in coordination with STIRRING, is proud to showcase this years' winners of OUTSpoken's annual creative writing contest.
Paired with each written work is a randomly selected portrait from Matthew Cherry's *somewhereX, a gay Mormon Art Project, because we exist!
